Today we are printing patterns.
Firstly, create a printing block using either plasticine or a potato.
(If you are slicing a potato, make sure that an adult is supervising you.)
Think about the images, shapes, textures and patterns that you want to have on your block.
Once you have created your block, use printing ink or paint. Paint over the block. Don't press the block onto the paper, rest the paper onto the block and press it down gently with the palm of your hand. Move the paper and repeat this step until you are happy with your completed pattern.
Don't forget to send us a photograph of your creation to the class email.
