Today in maths we are going to be thinking about 2D and 3D shapes and creating patterns using 2D and 3D shapes.
Follow the link below to the Ruth Miskin phonics channel on YouTube. There will be a video uploaded, one sound per day (which is a recap of sounds taught) and this video will be available for 24 hours. There will also be a following spelling session for your child to test their phonics knowledge. It is important that you do both sessions.
Storytime- will not commence again until July. I will keep you updated about the return of story time.

Today to continue our look at stories you are going to be looking at the story This Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown.
Listen to the story This Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown written by Cressida Cowell using the link below:
Do you think that you would give up your teddy if the Queen offered you a golden teddy bear, 10 talking dolls, fifty rocking horses, all the toys you could ever want
Imagine you are Emily Brown and you have had enough of the Queen asking for your teddy. What would you say to the Queen? How would you feel about the Queen asking for your teddy again and again and then taking the teddy without asking? Write a letter to the Queen explaining why you were so cross with her. You might want to ask her what games she is playing with her teddy and if she has called her teddy a name like Emily who called her teddy Stanley.
After reading that story it sounds like the Queen didn't like her teddy. I think she might need a new one. I would like you to draw the Queen's new teddy and label its features.
e.g The teddy might be super fluffy or have two blue buttons for eyes.
