Today we will be writing the fourth section of our holiday brochure - Section 4. Take a look at the Non-fiction Map below and track where we are.

Purpose - inform and persuade    Audience - people looking for a holiday

You will need a pen, paper and a thinking side set up in your book: you can use the one from your pack, click on the link below or draw one for yourself.

Section 4: Subheading/ Sensory experience.

WALT: To write effective sentences for a persuasive holiday brochure.

Steps to success:

Use alliteration.

Use an imperative verb.

Use exaggeration.

When you are ready, start at Learning Chunk 1. Apologies that the top of my head is missing sometimes, it was a little tricky setting the camera to fit all of the writing so it could be read. I will try a different set up tomorrow. smiley

Section 4 - Learning Chunk 2

Section 4 - Learning Chunk 3

When you have completed your writing, there is an additional paragraph for you to copy across. This is another subheading/ sensory experience. Copy this paragraph and remember to underline your subheading.

Ease those spears!

With our own on-site farm, you can just sit back while your tender beef steak sizzles on our open fires. Dine on lemon-drizzled, freshly-caught cod loins from our own freshwater loch. Tantalise your taste buds with a medley of hand-picked berries, topped with refreshing home-made milk from our own free-range goats.

I look forward to seeing your work later. smiley
