Everything you need to know, is below (that rhymes!):
Log in to Reading Buddy again and access The Raiders. Open the English document at the bottom of this page which explains all.
First, complete the arithmetic sheet in the resources section. The answers are on page 2 of the same document so don't scroll down until you are done. Under 5 minutes is a good time!
Main lesson: We are moving away from using the grid method today and honing our focus on the expanded and compact methods of written multiplication. That's not to say the grid method isn't a good method - ultimately, they all lead to the same answer. Often, however, the compact method is the most efficient method to use.
Everything you need is in the resources section. If a video doesn't play, click on it and go to 'format' or 'options' and go to 'preview' (play button).

You've probably guessed... I challenge you to make a model Viking longboat! I'm sure you'll remember seeing some of the model ships that last year's class made on display in the library. I'm confident you can do an amazing job as well. Obviously this project will take some time! You need a design idea, materials and a lot of patience! I can't wait to see the end results.
Below are 2 videos that will help you make your ship. The models made in the videos are quite big, yours doesn't have to be. When using cutting tools or glue guns, make sure handle them with care and ask a parent to supervise.
