Guided Reading

In Guided Reading today we are reading fluency. This means we will be repeating the same passage of the text until we can read it without making mistakes. Pay attention to the punctuation. Remember that punctuation is used by the author to direct how the story is read. Full stops and punctuation direct the reader to pause and take a breath. Exclamation marks will indicate that you read with emphasis and question marks indicate you sentence is a question. When we have done this we are going to record ourselves as an audio book. You may not be comfortable with this, but it would be great if your grown-up could record you reading and send it in to me. smiley
Have fun with this activity, I hope we will in class!
