Welcome Space Explorers!
Hello everybody! Goodness me, what a wonderful week of learning we had last week! I saw so many doing such incredible things based on our story of ‘Monkey Puzzle’ by Julia Donaldson including lots of fantastic pattern work, some very silly sentences and so many examples of brilliant French speaking!
I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying the videos that Mrs Turner and I have been making and that these are helping to keep you excited about learning, even though we have been apart for so very long. I love that we are all listening to the same stories and doing the same things as this helps to bring us together.
This week I have chosen a story which is out of this world! It is called ‘Astro Girl’ by Ken Wilson-Max. The story is about a little girl who is desperate to be an astronaut when she is older, even though she knows it is a really hard job. This book shows children to dream big and that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. I am sure that Astro Girl will be able to make it if she really tries!

This book opens up some great opportunities to engage in lots of Space-themed learning this week. I have recorded the story for you on Tapestry and Mrs Turner and I have been busy creating lots of other videos to keep you busy. Here are some other videos from across school for you to enjoy:
Good luck with your space learning this week cadets!
