Home Learning Activities

Hello everybody!

I hope you are ready for another lovely week of Home Learning. I saw so many fantastic responses to our space-themed book last week ‘Astro Girl.’ This week we are thinking about another book that I really loved when I was little. It is a story filled with rhyme and muddy paws and a rather scary cat. Do you know what it is? Our ‘Book of the Week’ is… drum roll please… ‘Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy’ by Lynley Dodd! Therefore, our learning is themed around dogs, and more broadly pets. I hope you will enjoy this week’s activities and continue to post and comment on Tapestry about the lovely things you get up to as we really do love to see and read them.

The grown-ups have been hard at work this week creating a 'Transition' page on the school website to help you get ready to return to Nursery or to start Reception. It is full of tours, videos, stories, songs, activities and information. Please take a look around. You can find it here:

Please find this week's activities below. There is lots to keep you busy but there is no pressure to do them all. Pick the ones which best suit your child, yourself and the resources you have. I would recommend that you attempt at least one from each section. Where it fits, these activities have been linked to ‘Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy.'
