Hello Year 2!
Welcome to your homework for next week. Thank you for all of the beautiful photos of your autumn treasures that you sent this week, we really enjoyed looking at them.
Below is your list of spellings based on the sounds and tricky words that we have looked at in phonics this week, a link to Phonics Play and a fun activity. I haven't set any activities on Mathletics this week, instead I would like you to log on to Numbots (using your TT Rockstars login) and explore the games that are available on there. If you would like me to see any homework that you have done then please take a photograph of it and send it the class email.
I look forward to seeing what you have been up to.

Phonics Play - recap Phase 3 sounds and look at Phase 4 blends
This week, we found out about Lea Castle and where it used to be between Cookley and Wolverley before it was demolished in 1945. We found out that it was built in 1762 by Edward Knight who owned a metal factory in Cookley. The castle was later owned by the Westhead family who later became the Brown-Westheads. Over the next week, see if you can spot any clues that Lea Castle existed in our local area. You might spot these clues if you go for a walk around the area or while you are travelling in the car.
Things to look out for:
Gate houses that led to the castle.
The wall that surrounded the castle grounds.
