Hello Year 2!
Welcome to your homework for this week. Thank you to everybody who made and sent in an information poster about cheetahs, we were blown away by the amount of facts that you have found out! They all look great displayed around our English display.
- Below is your list of spellings based on the spelling rules that we have looked at in phonics this week. I have also popped a link to Reading Buddy below; choose and read a book and have a go at answering the quiz questions.
- I have set one activity on Mathletics this week. You could also log on to Numbots and continue exploring the games on there (this will help you with your recall of number bonds to 10 and 20). An alternative game that you might want to try at home is 'Hit the Button'. I have popped a link to the website below. This is a selection of online Maths activities for you to choose from, I do not expect you to use all of them.
- This week, we looked at a photograph of a sunset on the savannah. We talked about the colours, the shapes and the silhouette of the tree against the sky and then used pencil crayons to draw it in our sketchbook. I would like you to create a collage of the this same image posted below) using either craft materials (tissue paper, coloured paper etc) or found materials (paper/cardboard/plastic packaging, natural materials, fabric etc). Bring your completed collage into school so that we can display it around our 'Africa' display.
If you would like me to see any other homework that you have done then please take a photograph of it and send it the class email.
I look forward to seeing what you have been up to.
