Hello Year 2!
Welcome to your homework for this week. Well done for finding so many different examples of weaving around your home last week, it came in handy for our lesson on weaving on Wednesday. It was lovely to see that some of you had a go at making your own weaving creations too!
- We have been learning how to use mnemonics in Phonics this week. Use the mnemonics that we have learnt to help you to spell the words on the list below. I have also popped a link to Reading Buddy below; choose and read a book and have a go at answering the quiz questions.
- I have set one activity on Mathletics this week. You could also log on to Numbots and continue exploring the games on there (this will help you with your recall of number bonds to 10 and 20). An alternative game that you might want to try at home is 'Hit the Button'. I have popped a link to the website below. This is a selection of online Maths activities for you to choose from, I do not expect you to use all of them.
- Next week in English, we will be writing our own poem. Find and read some different poems and choose a favourite. You could rehearse and perform it to your family or you could write it out, illustrate it and bring it into school where we can put them all together in a class anthology (collection of poems).
If you would like me to see any other homework that you have done then please take a photograph of it and send it the class email.
I look forward to seeing what you have been up to.
