So far this week you have used a Carroll diagram and a tally chart to organise and interpret data. This means that you have organised information so that you can answer questions. Today we are going to look at a different way of organising data in something called a Venn diagram. I have made a video which you can find in the Video Resource Centre or you can follow the link below. In the video I will show you how to use a Venn diagram to organise items by colour. Try the activity that I show you in the video using your own colours.

If you want to try organising more data using a Venn diagram, then draw this one on some paper or in your book. Instead of organising colours, work with somebody in your family to see which features are unique to you, which features are unique to them and which features you both share.

You can also use Venn diagrams to sort numbers. If you want a further challenge, try sorting multiples of 2 and 5 on this Venn diagram. You will need your Espresso login to access it.
