For today's science lesson you will need to freeze half a cup of water to create a lump of ice. You will also need to be able to remove the ice from the container for observations.

Today's lesson we are going to be thinking about ice.

Look at the ice and think of words to describe the ice. Write the words on post-it notes and place them around the block of ice. How does the ice make you feel? What does it remind you of?

You are now going to observe the ice block.

You will need:

- piece of paper

- timer

Make a prediction what will happen after 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes.

Start the timer and write down your observations for each time.

We are playing the Bee-Bot app on the iPads. Download the app and play along at home.

Pretend to be a Bee-Bot or turn a toy into a Bee-Bot and move the Bee-Bot according to your instructions suing the directions : left, right, forward, backward.
