Today in Science, we are starting our new topic about animals and their habitats. In our lesson today, we will be learning about the characteristics of living and non living things. In the lesson below, from Oak Academy, you will learn about the life processes and how to identify living and non-living things. You can use the sorting activity that is explained in the lesson or you can cut out and sort the picture cards in your pack into groups of living and non-living things. For a challenge, you could sort your picture cards into three groups - living, non-living (once lived) and never lived. For an extra challenge, you could find items from around your home that would fit into those groups. You don't have to stick the cards into your book, you can sort them into groups on a table or the floor and take a photo of them.
