Welcome to Week Six
Welcome to another fabulous week. Last week, we really enjoyed exploring the book of 'Peace At Last' and saw the children making so much progress. We also had a fabulous Robots and Rockstars Day on Thursday and enjoyed a whole day of Maths activities. This week we will be focusing on another Jill Murphy book about the Bear family, called 'Whatever Next!' In this text, Baby Bear does not want to go to bed and instead choses to find himself a carboard box, a colander and a picnic basket and go on an imaginary adventure to the Moon!
A reminder about reading books:
- Phonics books will go out on a Monday and should be returned on a Thursday
- Library books will go out on a Thursday and should be returned on a Monday
You will not be issued with a new book until you return those you have at home.
London Mini Marathon:
You will have received a letter via the Gateway recently regarding the London Mini Marathon which the children will be completing this week to support Mrs Crisp who was due to have been running the London Marathon this year. We asked the children who they would like to give the money they raise to and they decided to give it to "people who don't have enough food." We thought this was such a lovely idea and so we will be donating our money to a local food bank. Well done Reception for being so caring. Each day we will be going outside to run laps of our playground area, making up our 2.6 miles across the week. You have been sent a sponsorship form on the Gateway. Thank you for your support with this event. It is a great way to support your child to develop a positive relationship with exercise and to show care for people who need help.
Please find below the week's Class Learning and Home Learning. It has been wonderful to see so many of you engaging with this and posting on Tapestry. Please keep it going!
