Welcome to Week Two
What a fabulous first week we had in Reception last week! I genuinely went home on Friday and did a little happy dance. When I woke up on Saturday, I was actually sad not to be coming in to work. Your children were a total credit to you and have started Reception happy, confident and ready to learn. All of the grown-ups commented on how fantastic they were and are very excited for the year to come.
The world really is our oyster this year and we cannot wait to see what your children go on to achieve this year and to support them in this adventure!
This week your child will attend school for three days. Two of these days will be with half of the class and on Friday, we will begin our full days for everybody. We have found that this slightly staggered approach has worked really well this year to help the children settle in a smaller group and for us to get to know them.
Just so that you are aware, we will begin sending home reading books from next Monday when everybody is in school so that we can stick to set days for them to go out and come in.
See you all soon,
Miss Bagnall, Mrs Roath, Mrs Painter, Miss Davies, Mrs Leach & Mrs Bromley
Each week, "Class Learning" and "Home Learning" for the week will be uploaded to the website. The "Class Learning" Star will provide you with an overview of the learning experiences your child will be engaging with at school each week and which you will need to support your child with, if you are self-isolating at home. Support is available with this via firstname.lastname@example.org, on Tapestry or by telephoning 01562850397.
The 'Home Learning' star is the learning that Miss Bagnall would like you to engage with at home as homework for the week. Please let us know via Tapestry, how your child gets on with their Home Learning each week. You can upload photographs, videos and comments that will be responded to weekly.
