Week One 07.06.21 Jack and the Beanstalk
Jack and the Beanstalk
Welcome back! We hope you have all had a lovely half term and are ready and raring to go for a new half term. We cannot believe that we are already entering the final half term of Reception class; what a year it has been! This is a great moment to stop and look back at all of the fantastic things the children have achieved this year. The grown-ups have been so amazed by this year's class and by what they have been able to achieve, particularly in such challenging circumstances. We will be sad to see the class move up to Year One but know that they are already more than ready for this next stage of their school life.
For our final half term, we will be enjoying a new topic called... "Once Upon a Time." This topic will focus on traditional and fairy tales and will be jam-packed with opportunities for storytelling, reading, writing, creating, imagining, describing, singing, acting and so much creativity. The children have already helped us decide which stories they would like to focus on and which kinds of activities they would like to engage with so we cannot wait to get started. Let's make the most of every single second of these final six weeks!
This week, we will be kicking things off with a focus on 'Jack and the Beanstalk.' Below you will find information on the learning we will be doing in class, and on the Home Learning which will support your child to embed their learning at home.
