Week Six: 29.3.21

Happy Easter!

As we approach the end of a very unusual term, the adults would like to wish everybody a happy and healthy Easter. Thank you so much for all of your support this term in supporting your children during such an unusual time. We have been amazed by the children's effort, resilience and hard work and by what many of you managed to achieve during Home Learning. Even in the most tumultuous of periods, the children have still been able to achieve the most amazing things and have blown us away every day.

During this final week of term, we will be thinking all about the celebration of Easter and what it means to Christians. We will be exploring the symbols of Easter and their links with our theme of growth and new life e.g. crosses, bunnies, eggs, chicks etc. On Thursday, we will be finishing our term with an Easter party day. Children should still be in uniform on this day but do not require PE kits. During the day, we will be making chocolate nests (chocolate, rice krispies and mini eggs) and trying a small slice of hot cross bun so please let us know if there are specific dietary needs or you would not like your child to participate with this.

Our Book of the Week will be...

We're Going on an Egg Hunt by Laura Hughes

Easter Bonnets

Please remember to get making those Easter Bonnets ready for our virtual parade on Thursday. Children can come to school in their bonnets on Thursday morning.

We will also be exploring other Easter-themed texts including The Easter Story and non-fiction Easter texts.

Below you will find information on the learning we will be engaging with this week in class. If you are self-isolating or unable to attend school, we ask that you utilise these resources to support you to deliver learning at home. If you are self-isolating, a member of staff will contact you to support you with this as we will no longer be creating weekly videos once school reopens. Below you will also find the Home Learning for children to complete at home this week.
