Week Three: 8.3.21

Welcome back everybody!

We are so excited to see you all back in class because we have missed you so very much. This week we are going to focus on getting settled back into the routines of school, catching up with our friends and feeling safe and secure in our classroom. We will be staying safe by encouraging regular hand-washing and ensuring that the resources in class are cleaned on rotation.

This week, we are continuing our theme of "Let It Grow," but will be moving on our thinking from how plants grow to thinking about the life cycles of animals e.g. frogs and caterpillars. We are very excited to welcoming five new members to our class... five caterpillars! We will watching as these caterpillars develop over the next few weeks into butterflies that we can release into the world!

Our focus text of the week will be "The Crunching Munching Caterpillar" by Sheridan Cain - a lovely story about transformation and growth. Miss Davies read this story to us on one of her lockdown videos so some of the children may be familiar with it already.

Below you will find information on the learning we will be engaging with this week in class. If you are self-isolating or unable to attend school, we ask that you utilise these resources to support you to deliver learning at home. If you are self-isolating, a member of staff will contact you to support you with this as we will no longer be creating weekly videos once school reopens. Below you will also find the Home Learning for children to complete at home this week.
