Week Two 26.04.21 Night Monkey, Day Monkey
What a lovely first week back we had. We are always so proud of how well the children return after a break. We are really enjoying our new topic 'Rumble in the Jungle' and cannot wait to get started on this week's learning.
GOODBYE MISS AUSTIN!
This week is Miss Austin's last week with us at Cookley as her teaching placement comes to an end. She will be part of the Parents Evening process next week after school but will not be in class with us after Friday. We really are going to miss her and are so grateful for all her hard work. She has really helped us all in our learning, both at home and at school, and has played a fundamental role in helping us all to learn and grow and fly this year in Reception. Miss Austin is a really fantastic teacher and has a very bright teaching career ahead of her and we all wish her the very best of luck as she embarks on the very best career! Any child would be lucky to have her as their teacher. Thank you so much Miss Austin!
This week we will be continuing our jungle-themed learning with a key focus on Julia Donaldson's book 'Night Monkey, Day Monkey.' This text allows us to explore the jungle at night and to find out which animals are nocturnal and diurnal. Below, you can view the story:
Below you will find information on the learning we will be engaging with this week in class. If you are self-isolating or unable to attend school, we ask that you utilise these resources to support you to deliver learning at home. If you are self-isolating, a member of staff will contact you to support you with this as we will no longer be creating weekly videos once school reopens. Below you will also find the Home Learning for children to complete at home this week.
