What will happen now and what will happen in September?

What happens now?

You will have already received your acceptance letter to confirm your place with us. You will be receiving an induction pack in the post very soon containing lots of information for the school office and some activities and ideas from your child's class teacher, including a personal welcome card to tell your child how excited we are for them to be in our class. Please return the requested information as soon as possible so that we can process your details and get you all set up.

Once we have all your details, you will receive emails to help you get set up on the School Gateway (which allows you to contact school, order school lunches and much, much more!) and on Tapestry (our online Learning Journal).

You can be accessing all of the Transition support information and videos from the school website at this stage to begin talking to your child more about school in September and getting to know all of the staff. There are games to play, stories to listen to and songs to learn.

Within your induction pack, you will find the details for a one-to-one zoom meeting with your child's teacher next week. Please ensure that you have organised this by phoning the school office as soon as possible. During this meeting we will share a PowerPoint with you, answer any questions you may have and spend some time getting to know you and your child. We would ask that you have watched the videos available on this website and read the Frequently Asked Questions before your allotted meeting.

We are really excited to be starting this journey with you and cannot wait to welcome you into the Cookley family!
