Hello Reception Class,

Thank you so much for sharing with us what you have been learning on Tapestry. We thought you might like to know what we have been doing too.

I have completed my 2.6 challenge, raising money for the Air Ambulance.  I have been walking 2.6 miles each evening and enjoying noticing different things, despite taking the same route. I have blown away the cobwebs as most of my work now is spent on the laptop or I-pad, completing online training, planning activities and responding to all your great learning on Tapestry. I enjoy going into school to support the children of other Key Workers and I am getting much better playing netball and football with them in the playground. I can't wait until we are back together again so I can join in with your play activities and support you all with your learning and language development.

Mrs Roath has also completed her challenge. She has been enjoying walking 2.6 miles everyday for the past 10 days for Kidney Research UK. She has been going on different walks in the local area with her children and dog. She too is enjoying her time at school helping the children with their on going learning of which some is quite tricky. However she persevered and soon learnt how to do it again. She is enjoying her online courses and learning lots of new things she will be able to bring back to the classroom.

Mrs Painter has had her roller boots on and has completed 42 laps of the school playground but had to stop due to the rain. Following her challenge she did ache but was happy to report no falls or broken bones! She was raising money for the charity, 'Forces Children's Trust'. Again she has been busy with online courses and supporting with administration tasks.

Mrs Bromley has painted 26 stones and hid them in the local area, keep your eyes open when you are out and about and you might just find one! She raised money for 'Dementia UK'. She has been busy in Forest School maintaining the environment and keeping the learning space under control ready for future Forest School sessions.

Mrs Giles has been busy sponsoring us all, whilst her young children have been keeping her very busy. She has loved responding to all your work on Tapestry and choosing children for Star of the Week. She has enjoyed her online courses too and is looking forward to following them up by applying her learning within the classroom. She enjoys coming into school and completing a range of craft activities with the children. She can't wait to get back to Forest School supporting you all in the variety of learning activities that you choose and cooking some more delicious recipes on the open fire.

We've really enjoyed seeing some of your 2.6 challenges on Tapestry with bike riding and walking being popular choices. If you haven't completed a challenge yet it's not too late. How about collecting sponsors and learning to name and sound the letters of the alphabet or complete a challenge from the many suggestions on the 2.6 Challenge website.

We've got another great week of learning activities ahead of us and hopefully the sun will be back with us and those clouds and rain will soon be a distant memory. Have fun everybody.
