Wk beg 20.04.20

Welcome back! I hope you have all enjoyed your Easter holidays and enjoyed the lovely weather we had.

Mrs Lane, our year 3 teacher has hatched some duck eggs with her children whilst we have been at home. If you would like to see what happened go to the year 3 home learning page then click on The Lane Family's Duck Eggs star.

I hope you continue to enjoy the activities I have set you this week and I look forward to seeing all your learning on Tapestry.

Mrs Crisp would like you to participate in the following challenge:

The 2.6 Challenge  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving/events/twopointsix/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1rbG8Ivv6AIVE-3tCh1b3AW_EAAYASAAEgK2mvD_BwE

The 2.6 Challenge - Save the UK's Charities - Virgin Money Giving

Take on the 2.6 Challenge and fundraise to save the UK's Charities

uk.virginmoneygiving.com

This is a campaign to promote fundraising for charities that are struggling at the moment.  With the postponement of the London Marathon, many charities have lost a huge % of their yearly fundraising. There is a lot of fundraising going on, but many smaller charities are being forgotten.  Many charities do not get any funding other than what they raise through mass events.

This is how it works - Choose a charity that is close to your heart - maybe a cancer charity, animal charity, a local foodbank - it really is up to you.  Then choose a challenge involving 2 and 6 (loads of ideas on the link above) and then get an adult to set up a fundraising page.  Or you can donate direct to your chosen charity.

We look forward to finding out all about your chosen challenge and charity on Tapestry in the coming weeks.
