Our Nursery takes pupils from the age of 3 years. The purpose built nursery classroom was built as part of the new school buildings in 2013. Outside there is a large outdoor play area, partially covered, to enable outdoor play all year round.
The Nursery is led by a fully qualified teacher - Miss Taylor-Carter. We follow the key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage with a balance of child and adult led opportunities that are designed to encourage your child to learn new and build on existing knowledge and skills in a fun and purposeful way.
Your child will experience a range of activities including Forest School, Phonics, construction and many more.
Being part of school allows the Nursery pupils an opportunity to utilise the facilities, such as the library and the large playground. This also means that the children become familiar with the environment of a primary school aiding transition to Reception.
We offer 30 hours free childcare to all eligible 3 and 4 year olds during term time (38 weeks). If you haven’t already done so, to find out more about the initiative and the funding available, we would recommend visiting the Childcare Choices website https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
Nursery offers both am and pm sessions that can be accessed by ALL children (15 and 30 hour funded). This will enable parents to book sessions that best suit their needs. For example you may prefer to do 2 full days and a half day instead of 5 mornings (15 hours).
In addition to funded options, additional sessions such as breakfast and after school club can be booked. Please call Mrs Hoult in the office on 01562 850397 and she will be happy to talk you through the options available to you.
