Values and ethos

Cookley Sebright Primary School is proud to be at the heart of its community.  The children are at the centre of all we do and we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to be happy, feel valued and experience success.

We believe that all of our pupils should enjoy their time at school.  Happy children make a happy school.  A journey of discovery awaits and no two days are the same.  Children are encouraged to make new discoveries on their educational journey.

We strive every day to provide a breadth of opportunities to promote learning, to make learning fun and to excite so that our pupils can achieve their very best.

Promoting British Values

In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is 'right' and 'wrong', all people living in England are subject to its law.

The Key Values are:

  • Democracy
  • Rule of law
  • Individual liberty
  • Mutual respect
  • Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
