Apologies for last weeks spelling and homework not being upload - technical issue on my end. I have upload last weeks again anyway so feel free to practice those spellings!

Homework: 

Science - Materials

Create a Material Superhero

  • Objective: Understand the properties of materials in a creative way.

  • Activity: Create a superhero based on a material. For example, "Captain Plastic" who is strong and waterproof or "Super Soft Cotton" who is gentle and comfy. They should draw their superhero, give them a name and describe the material properties that make them special.

Materials Scavenger Hunt

  • Objective: Identify and categorise everyday materials around the house.

  • Activity: Find five objects around your house and categorise them based on the materials they are made from (e.g., wood, metal, plastic, fabric, paper). You can draw the objects and label the materials.

Create a Material Collage

  • Objective: Recognise and explore the different materials used in everyday life.

  • Activity: Cut out pictures from magazines or newspapers of different materials and make a collage. They can group the materials into categories such as natural (wood, stone, cotton) or man-made (plastic, metal, fabrics).
