EYFS Induction sessions

Nursery Induction

Once you have accepted your child's place with us, you will be invited to attend an induction meeting with your child's class teacher. This will allow us to share information, discuss what will happen when your child starts Nursery and to answer any questions you may have. The next planned sessions for children starting in September 2024 will be held on:

Monday 8th or Tuesday 9th July 2024, 9:00 - 11:30, Stay and play session with child, please meet outside the school office. A day and time slot will be provided, to enable a smooth transition and to limit numbers at any particular session. 

Home visits are available with the EYFS team. Please phone the school office, if you wish to book a time slot, on Wednesday 10th July 2024 between 9:00-11:30 am.

Reception Induction

On 24th June 2024 at 17:30, Parents are invited to a meeting in the Reception Class, to discuss their child's transition, expectations for the new academic year and the Early Years Curriculum. This will be an opportunity to meet the staff and ask any questions you may have. 

Reception transition to new classes will take place across two days in July (8th and 9th July), home visits and visits to feeder Nurseries will also be offered, to support children in their transition to Cookley Sebright Primary School.

Current Nursery children will attend two full days of transition into Reception class, whilst children new to Cookley Sebright Primary School will be invited to attend two morning sessions.
