Hello Class 3,

For your first homework this week, please log onto Mathletics and complete the assigned activities.

Then, for your reading task, as it is Comic Relief 2024 today, choose a funny book to read or think of your own funny story.

Share your book with someone at home. Do they find it funny too?

Let us know about the part that you found the funniest.

e.g. 

I really liked Roald Dahl's Marvellous Joke Book by Roald Dahl & Quentin Blake (2012) because some of the jokes were very funny and they were about some of the Roald Dahl characters that I have read about before.

This quote from  The Adventures of Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey also made me laugh because it made me think of children that I've taught over the years. “George and Harold were usually responsible kids. Whenever anything bad happened, George and Harold were usually responsible.” 

The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt is one of my favourite books because I like the way that each crayon has a different character. This quote from the purple crayon makes me laugh as he seems to be very cross. Some of the words are in capitals as if he is shouting and I can almost imagine him stamping his foot in temper.
