Teaching Assistant

 

Starting January 2026 ~ 30 hours Term time ~ Permanent

Salary Scale: TA2 Point 5-6, £18,220.63 - 

 

An opportunity has arisen at Cookley Sebright Primary School for an enthusiastic, hardworking, nurturing individual, to join our dedicated team. Cookley Sebright Primary School is a one form village primary school, near Kidderminster. 

Our school values are Enjoy, Discover, Achieve and we are looking for someone who has a child-centred approach and who believes in supporting learners to achieve their very best.  As the school has a high number of children with SEND, an interest in working with children with high level needs would also be an advantage (but not essential).

 

The successful applicant will:

  • have an understanding of the primary curriculum
  • work closely alongside the class teacher to plan and deliver enjoyable learning opportunities
  • be enthusiastic and committed to supporting all pupils
  • have creative ideas and can use their own initiative
  • work effectively as part of a team
  • hold a relevant qualification at Level 3 (or equivalent)

Work Experience 

We receive many requests for placements and unfortunately we are not able to accommodate everyone who requests a place. If you wish to be considered for a work experience placement at our school, please write a letter to the Headteacher, outlining why you have chosen our school for your placement, and in what ways you consider the experience could help you achieve your future aspirations. Applications will be considered on their merit, and available placements offered accordingly.
