Friday 19th December 2025
Merry Christmas Everyone!
There is no formal homework over the holiday. Thank you to those of you that have completed your homework this term, you should be very proud of yourselves, it has been brilliant!
Have a lovely break and we'll see you in 2026!
Friday 12th December
Class 5 really enjoyed our Ancient Greek Day yesterday and took part in a number of different activities including designing and decorating a vase in the style of the Ancient Greeks, trying to solve Archimedes' Stomachion Puzzle, electing leaders as part of a democracy and working in teams as part of our own 'Olympic Games'.
For this week's homework, choose something linked to Ancient Greece. You can choose whether you want to do something crafty or explore another Ancient Greek Maths puzzle.
We can't wait to see what you get up to.
Friday 5th December
Thank you for your homemade Christmas decorations, they look fabulous around the classroom.
We have had a busy week. For your homework this week, think about one of the things that we have done this week. It might be any of the following:
- English work based on The Snowman
- Even more fractions in Maths
- Exploring air resistance in Science
- Cross Country or the live assembly from Antartica
- The KS2 Christmas party
- Football with Kidderminster Harriers
- Our GB Athlete visit launch assembly
Choose one aspect of this week that you have really enjoyed and either write a brief diary entry about it or create a piece of artwork based on it.
We can't wait to see what you create.
Enjoy your long weekend.
Friday 21st November and Friday 28th November
On Monday 1st December, we will be decorating the classroom ready for Christmas. As your homework for the next two weeks, please create a homemade Christmas decoration or ornament to display in the classroom during December. We know you are very crafty and creative, so are looking forward to seeing what you create!
Friday 14th November 2025
This week, we've really enjoyed our Picture News and Lyfta assemblies.
For your homework this week, choose an activity linked to one of these.
During Picture News, we learnt all about COP30.
Either:
1 - Explain to a grown up what COP30 is.
2 - Think about what you'd say to the world leaders gathered at COP30.
3 - Create a poster about why preventing climate change is important.
4 - Reduce, Reuse or Recycle something that you wouldn't normally.
Our Lyfta assembly was all about the importance of names.
Either:
1. Research your name. Does it have a meaning? Where did it originate from? Are there many other people with the same name as you?
2. Ask your family. Why did they choose your name? Had they thought of any alternative names before they settled on your name? Do any of your other family members have the same name? Are there some names that repeat throughout your family tree?
Friday 7th November 2025

As part of our Maths this week, we have started to explore multiples, factors and Prime Numbers. We found this very interesting. For your homework task this week, design a poster explaining how to find multiples of numbers, factors of numbers or Prime Numbers.
Friday 10th October 2025
As part of our English sequence this week, we tried food from Italy and Greece. We've also been reading an extract from the text, 'This book is not rubbish!' by Isabel Thomas which told us all about the environmental impact of eating meat.
This week, look at some of the food that you eat. Can you find out where it has come from?
You could choose a meal and explore where all of the ingredients are from.
Friday 3rd October 2025
In our Computing lesson this week, we learnt about when the internet was created and how search engines worked. We were surprised about how quickly the internet has grown.
For your final homework task this week, continue exploring the internet and search engines.
You could:
Find out more about how, when and why the internet was created.
Compare different search engines. If you search for the same thing, do you get the same responses?
OR
Create a poster explaining how to use the internet to search for information.
Friday 26th September 2025
For this week's final homework task, get active outside.
You could either:
- go for a bike ride in preparation for Bikeability next week,
- practise skipping, like we've been doing in our fitness themed PE lessons,
- or go for an Autumn walk.
Whatever you do, enjoy being outside!
