Hello Year 1,
Below you will find this week's spelling words, a link to Mathletics to complete this week's activity and an extra task linked to our wider curriculum. The spellings are organised so there are 3 accessible spellings, 4 spellings linked to our sound that we are looking at this week, 2 tricky words and a challenging word using this week's sound.
If you would like to send photos of any homework, our class email is:
class1@cookleyprimary.worcs.sch.uk
Please note that this email is for homework only and is set to receive incoming mail only. If you have a message that requires a response, please send it to the Gateway where it will be forwarded to me.
Have a great week!

Children's Mental Health Week
What have you done in the last week that you are proud of?
Pride is a feeling that makes you puff out your chest! Do you have something to celebrate like....You tried a new vegetable? You managed a piece of work that was tricky for you? You spoke to someone new on the playground?
Keep a Celebration Diary for the week. Can you find one thing a day that makes you feel proud? Or something that has made people around you feel proud of you? Record your proud moments for a week and either pin them up somewhere where everybody can see them at home or send them into school where we can celebrate them together.
(Parents and carers - there is a families guide to children's mental health and wellbeing attached below. This has been released by the mental health charity Place2Be in conjunction with children's Mental Health Week 3 - 9 Feb 2025))
