Hello Year 1,

Below you will find this week's spelling words, a link to Mathletics to complete this week's activity and an extra task linked to our wider curriculum. The spellings are organised so there are 3 accessible spellings, 4 spellings linked to our sound that we are looking at this week, 2 tricky words and a challenging word using this week's sound.

If you would like to send photos of any homework, our class email is:

class1@cookleyprimary.worcs.sch.uk

Please note that this email is for homework only and is set to receive incoming mail only. If you have a message that requires a response, please send an Arbor message where it will be forwarded to me.

Have a great week!

Mrs Rees

Mathletics

Remember, you can earn special mentions and certificates in Star of the Week assembly for the most amount of points collected on Mathletics. See if you can get a mention or certificate this week!

KIRFs

This half term, we are looking at number bonds to 10. We have played this game at school and the children have asked for the link to be put on here!

To access number bonds of 10: Click the link - click play game - select the number bonds' button - click 'make 10'.

History

Next week in History, we will be learning about Rowland Hill and what he did for the postal system.

If you go into Kidderminster, you can find a statue of Rowland Hill outside the Town Hall. See what you can find out about Rowland Hill and why there is a statue of him in Kidderminster.

To help with your learning about the postal system, you could write a letter to a friend or relative (or even to Class 1). Write the address on the envelope, buy and stick a stamp on the envelope and post it in the post box. I wonder if you will get a letter back?
