Hello Year 1,

Below you will find this week's spelling words, a link to Mathletics to complete this week's activity and an extra task linked to our wider curriculum. The spellings are organised so there are 3 accessible spellings, 4 spellings linked to our sound that we are looking at this week, 2 tricky words and a challenging word using this week's sound.

If you would like to send photos of any homework, our class email is:

class1@cookleyprimary.worcs.sch.uk

Please note that this email is for homework only and is set to receive incoming mail only. If you have a message that requires a response, please send it to the Gateway where it will be forwarded to me.

Have a great week!

Mrs Rees

Mathletics

Remember, you can earn special mentions and certificates in Star of the Week assembly for the most amount of points collected on Mathletics. See if you can get a mention or certificate this week!

Science

This week, we are starting our new topic on seasonal changes by looking at Spring. Look for any signs of Spring in your garden or on a walk and record them by drawing and labelling them to create a Spring poster. Bring your poster into school so we can display it on our Science board. Things to look out for - new plant growth/ buds on trees, a change in the weather, animal babies, more daylight hours.

PSHE

In PSHE, we will be looking at the different food groups and how a balanced meal can be created using foods from a variety of food groups.

Using the food wheel below to help you, design your own healthy meal. You could draw a picture of it or even help to make it with a grown up. If you make your meal, we would love to see photos! You can send your photos to the class email.
