  • Attendance matters!

    Thu 01 Sep 2022

From September, we will have a renewed and increased focus on promoting good attendance. We know that this correlates directly to success in school.

Obviously, your child cannot attend if they are unwell and we would not expect them to be in school. However, 97% is still good attendance and this equates to around 5 days absence per year, which should easily account for the usual childhood sickness.

A reminder also, that punctuality has a big impact on the pupils. The children should be in the playground at 8.45am each morning, ready for the doors to open shortly after that. If you are late after register closes, it counts as an absence and also takes up valuable office staff time. Please make sure your child is in the playground at, or before, 8.45am each morning.
